Hello Everyone! I hope everyone had a happy and relaxing Thanksgiving break. The kids had all kinds of stories to share today. Here is what is going on in our classroom this week-
It's Gingerbread Time!!! We will be reading different stories about the Gingerbread Man and discussing ways they are similar and different. We will be doing many activities centered around gingerbread all week.
Writing-We are working on "days of the week" stories, as well as writing our own gingerbread stories.
Math-We are moving right along in math! We are working on Chapter 8, which also covers subtraction. We have also started Rocket Math. We will have our first timed test this Wednesday.
Spelling-We have started working with spelling words using Words Their Way. We all began with the same words while we are learning the different spelling activities. Please keep reviewing the sight words at home. I will continue to test the students over the words that they missed on list 1A and 1B.
Please send in t-shirt and field trip money. The t-shirt money needs to be in by tomorrow in order to have the shirts for our Magic House field trip. Thanks!
