Math-We started a chapter on money today. I will send home worksheets that correlate with this chapter soon if you would like to review at home. We will only have rocket math on Wednesday this week since we will be at the zoo on Friday.
Writing-We are writing "how to" stories. Today was extra special because we got to chew bubble gum when writing a paper on how to blow a bubble. We have 10 kids that can blow a bubble and 9 that are still working on it. The kids were so worried that Dr. McKenney would walk in and be mad at me since I was letting them chew gum in school! They are so funny!
Spelling-New spelling words came home today. We will have a test this Friday. Please go to http://www.spellingcity.com/list-management.html for extra practice.
Social Studies-We are just beginning Unit 5-Good Citizens.
Our field trip to the zoo is Friday. We will leave school at 9:00 and arrive back around 12:15. Chaperones are welcome to ride the bus with us. Please send a sack lunch and a drink with your child. We will be eating lunch in the classroom. Students also have the option of ordering a sack lunch from school that will be waiting for them when we get back. Please don't forget to have them wear their Theodore's Chipmunks shirt.
I will be in training Tuesday morning but will arrive back by lunch.
